Libations, Legends & Lore — Gentlemen Behaving Badly

October 13 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Join us for this Halloween-themed evening at Leiper’s Fork Distillery!

Start your evening off right with a cocktail class where you will learn to create a signature cocktail using our spirits. After the class, we will retire to our fire-lit courtyard to listen to a story from the sordid past of Leiper’s Fork and Williamson County told by one of our talented tour guides. Once we have scared you with our local legends, you will be able to join us for a candle-lit tour of our distillery.

Gentlemen Behaving BadlyThomas Hart Benton & Andrew Jackson

Thomas Hart Benton, “Old Bullion”, lived many years in Hillsboro/Leiper’s Fork before moving onto Missouri and becoming a U.S. Senator.  He was a successful lawyer and large landowner.  His life was entwined with Andrew Jackson, “Old Hickory”.  Benton and his younger brother, Jesse, fought with Jackson in the War of 1812.  Jackson was well-known for being firey and demanding, but his attitude didn’t always set well with everyone.  Find out what happens when these world famous soldiers, lawyers and political figures engage in duels, political warfare and a street fight on the public square in Nashville. Katy Peach will lead you on a journey of the mischief and mayhem gentlemen can find.   You’re evening will begin with our cocktail class learning to create the Bourbon Stout, a flavorful fall libation.  Followed by storytelling and ending with a candlelit tour of our distillery.
